Biography

Entering his senior season, Molnar has 50 goals and 16 assists for 116 points. He has taken 175 shots with 107 of them on goal and has scored seven game winning goals. Molnar is 4-for-5 in penalty kick attempts. He is ranked 50th in the OU record book in career goals (50), tied for sixth in career assists (16), and third in career points (116).

2023: Molnar was named First Team All-KCAC for the second straight season. He played in 21 matches and made 18 starts. Molnar finished the season with 17 goals and three assists for 37 points. He took 55 shots, 35 of them on goal, and scored four game winning goals. Molnar also excelled in the classroom. He was named CSC NAIA Academic All-District and was a NAIA Daktroic Scholar Athlete. Molnar is ranked ninth in the OU record book in single season goals (17), and ninth in points in a season (37).

2022: Molnar played and started in 20 games for the Braves as a sophomore. He was named First Team All-KCAC, Honorable Mention NAIA All-American and earned CSC Second Team Academic All-American honors.. Molnar finished the season with 21 goals and eight assists for 50 points. He took 69 shots, 39 of them on goal, and had one game winning goal. Molnar has put his name in the OU single season record book. He is ranked sixth in goals (21), eighth in assists (8), and fourth in points (50).

2021: Molnar dazzled at OU during his freshman year, leading the team with 12 goals with some spectacular finishes throughout the season. He also led the Braves with five assists on the season. Molnar was named KCAC Honorable Mention. 

High School: Top scorer three years in a row at Aron Tamasi Altalanos… Scored 52 goals in 27 games in 2017-18, 37 in 24 games in 2018-19, and 18 in 10 games in a Covid-shortened 2019-20 season.

Personal: Son of Zsuzsanna Kalmar and the late Imre Molnar… sports studies major… Made his men’s debut at 18 year’s old in the Hungarian second division… In 2020-21, Molnar played a full season in the Hungarian third division for Erdi VSE under coach Zsolt Limperger.
