Trinidad State College: In Vail's two seasons at TSC, he played in 70 games. Vail hit .283 (39-for-138), scored 27 runs, hit eight doubles, four triples, and four home runs. He drove in 29 runs, walked 35 times, stole nine bases, had a .459 on base percentage, and a .486 slugging percentage. 

High School: Vail lettered in baseball, basketball, golf, and swimming at Pueblo County High School. He helped PCHS basketball to the opening round his senior season. On the baseball diamond, Vail was a two-time All-State selection and twice was named First Team All-SCL. On the basketball court, he was a three-time First Team All-SCL selection and was twice named All-State. 

Personal: Son of Charles Vail and Teresa Vail ... psychology major. Vail played travel ball for Azteca Baseball Club under coach Dylan Gavin.
