Austin Swift

Coach Swift is in his second season as an assistant coach with the OU baseball program after spending the 2022 and 2023 seasons as a graduate assistant coach with the Braves.

Before coming to Ottawa University, Swift was the Tournament Site Director for Pastime Tournaments in Indianapolis, Ind. He managed hundreds of high school baseball games during the summer, controlled host sites and maintained field conditions, and handled ticket sales, updating the tournament website, and selling merchandise.

Swift also was the Intern Director at Lima Locos in Lima, Ohio. He managed 12 interns by completing work on sales, marketing/social media, merchandising, and game day operations.

Swift was a member of the Indiana Wesleyan University, playing in 44 games and making 30 starts on the mound for IWU. He finished his career with a 4.13 ERA and 138 strike outs. While at IWU, Swift was part of Football Game Day Operations as a student worker. He also volunteered for Grant County, participating in home improvements for families in the area. Swift was also part of Operation Christmas Child and part of the IWU Baseball Leadership Team and FCA & Bible Study Group.

Swift graduated in April 2021 with degrees in business administration and sports management. He was on the Dean’s List from Fall of 2016 to the Spring of 2021. He earned his MBA with a leadership development concentration from Ottawa University.
