Coach Visentin is in his second season as an assistant baseball coach with the Ottawa University baseball program. He will coach the OU catchers and will be the Braves’ hitting coach.
Before coming to Ottawa University, Visentin spent two years as an assistant baseball coach at Hesston College in Hesston, Kan. He coached the Lark catchers and was the program’s hitting coach.
Prior to his time at Hesston College, Visentin was a graduate assistant coach at Tabor College. He coached the Bluejay catchers. Under his leadership, Tabor’s starting catcher Leo Aguilar, was named to the 2021 KCAC Gold Glove Team and was an Honorable Mention All-KCAC selection.
While at Tabor, Visentin spent the summers as Director of Camps at the Top Speed Baseball Club in Petalumna, Calif. He also coached at the Bronco Baseball Academy out of Walnut Creek, Calif.
Visentin started his playing career at Butte College in Oroville, Calif. where he played three years for the Roadrunners. He helped BC to a Golden Valley Conference Championship in 2016 and was a GVC Gold Glove catcher in 2016 and 2017.
He transferred to Tabor College and was a starter in 2018 and 2019 for the Bluejays, catching 112 games. He earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors in 2019 and was named to the KCAC Champions of Character Team. Visentin was named to the Tabor College All-Decade Team (2010-2020) and was named TC Catcher of the Decade.
Visentin earned his MBA from Tabor College in the summer of 2021. He received his undergraduate degree in physical education from Tabor.
