Rob Saghy

Coach Saghy is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach with the Ottawa University baseball program.

Before coming to OU, Saghy was a four year member of the Heidelberg University baseball team. In 2019, Saghy was a part of the HU baseball team that won a Regional, Super Regional and an appearance in the NCAA III Baseball World Series.

While at HU, he was the associate head baseball coach for the Steel City Wildcats in Pittsburgh, Pa. Saghy oversaw the off season conditioning program, led in season team practices and workouts, and coordinated game schedules with the coaching staff.

Saghy held a four year term in the HU Student Senate where he led social media engagement and was part of the Student Organization Committees of Student Senate. He also was part of the student newspaper and radio station and was co-head of Partners PE Program at Upper St. Clair High School. Saghy volunteered to coordinate schedules and plan a junior showcase in the WPIAL Conference.

Saghy graduated from HU in May of 2020 with a degree in middle childhood education. He is working on his masters in education with a learning technologies concentration from Ottawa University
