Ryan Dickerson

Coach Dickerson is in his second season as a graduate assistant with the OU baseball program.

Before coming to Ottawa University, Dickerson spent three years at NCAA Division II, William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo. While at WJC, he instructed private lessons which included hitting, pitching, and fielding. Dickerson also worked with individuals on the mental side of the game. He also coached a 14U travel team in the summer of 2022. Dickerson helped run the high school camps put on by the Cardinal baseball program. At the camps, he hit fungos, threw batting practice, worked with catchers and kept track of pop times. During his offseason at WJC, Dickerson also worked with the catchers at Bakersfield College, did field maintenance at Fred Flook Field, and umpired baseball and men’s softball league games.

In three years at WJC, Dickerson finished with a .254 batting average in 49 games. He had 33 hits, scored 28 runs, hit 12 doubles, two home runs, drove in 25 runs, had a .392 slugging percentage, walked 21 times, was hit by a pitch six times., had a .382 on base percentage, stole four bases, had 32 assists, 244 put outs, and a .968 fielding percentage.

Prior to his time at WJC, he spent three years at Bakersfield College in Bakersfield, Calif., playing in 2017 and 2019. As a redshirt sophomore in 2019, Dickerson played in 25 games, finishing with a .167 batting average, six RBI, scored 19 runs, and stole three bases. In his freshman season, Dickerson appeared in 11 games, finishing with a .111 batting average.

Dickerson graduated from William Jewell College in May of 2022 with a degree in business administration and a minor in economics. He graduated from Bakersfield College in 2019 with an associate degree in business administration.

Dickerson is working on his masters in sports business from Ottawa University.
