Coach Renteria is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Ottawa University baseball program.

Renteria has spent time as a guest relations manager at the corporate headquarters for Jack in the Box, was a project manager for NextLevel Property Solutions, and was a physical trainer at Performance Fitness Academy. Since 2016, he has been a Sunday school assistant with Water of Life.

Renteria attended Chaffey Community College, Shoreline Community College, and Irvine Valley Community College.
