High School: Flowers lettered in basketball, football, and track at Buena Vista High School. He earned First Team All-Conference honors on the basketball court as a senior. Flowers was a three-time All-Conference selection in football and was named the league's player of the year. He helped his 4x100M Relay Team to a fourth place finish at the state track meet.
