Coach Kerr is in his third season as a volunteer assistant with the Ottawa University football program.
Kerr works for the Ottawa, Kan. school district at the Ottawa Learning Center. He spent the 2018 season as the Baldwin High School head football coach. Kerr has been a head football coach for and has been coaching for over 21 years with stops at Iola High School (Iola, Kan.), Port St. High School (Port St. Lucie, Fla.), and Bronson High School (Bronson, Fla.). He started coaching in 1998 at Port St. Lucie High School.
Kerr has coached several athletes that have gone on to play college football. That that includes four players that went on to play in the NFL.
Kerr played football at Fort Scott Community College (1992-93) and Lindenwood University (1994-95). He is originally from Derby, Kan. and graduated from Derby High School in 1992.
Kerr’s wife, Camille, is a teacher at Eudora High School. They have three children, Olivia (16), Benjamin (13), and Franklin (10).Â
