Hayden Engman is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach with the Ottawa University football program.
Engman coaches the Braves' tight ends while assisting with all aspects of the football program's daily operations. His responsibilities include practice planning, player development, game preparation, film analysis, opponent scouting, and recruiting coordination.
Prior to joining the coaching staff as a graduate assistant, Engman completed a coaching internship with the Ottawa football program during the final semester of his undergraduate studies. During the internship, he coached the running backs throughout spring practice and assisted the coaching staff with recruiting by leading campus tours for prospective student-athletes.
In 2023, Engman completed a coaching practicum in Ottawa University's weight room, working with the women's lacrosse, men's and women's wrestling, cheer and dance, and women's volleyball programs. He also served as a coach at an Ottawa University youth football camp, instructing young athletes in offensive line fundamentals while emphasizing skill development and a positive experience.
A graduate of Ottawa University, Engman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Leadership with a concentration in Coaching in 2025. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Athletic Administration at Ottawa University.
