Coach Garcia is in his second season as an assistant coach with the OU football program after spending the 2022 season as a graduate assistant. He is the Braves' Special Team's Coordinator.
Garcia had five players earn All-KCAC special honors, had three KCAC Special Teams Player of the Week selections and two kickoffs were returned for touchdowns. His special teams were ranked eighth in the NAIA in kick returns (No.-Yards) (42-945), eighth in kick return average (22.5), 26th in PATs (41-43), 31st in PAT percentage (.953), 36th in punts (No.-Yards) (48-1,838), and 20th in average per punt (38.3).
Garcia coached the defensive line in 2022 and had two Braves earn All-KCAC honors.
Garcia was a five year starter for the Black and Gold, earning AFCA NAIA All-American honors in 2020 and 2021 and NAIA Honorable Mention All-American honors in 2018. Garcia was a five time All-KCAC performer, being named First Team at defensive line in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. He was also selected to play in the 2021 NAIA Senior Football Bowl.

He finished his career with 304 tackles, 21 sacks, 62 tackles for loss, three pass break ups, and one blocked kick. In 2021 he was ranked 19th in the NAIA in assisted tackles (50), 48th in total tackles (82), and 82nd in tackles per game (7.5). Garcia also excelled in the classroom, earning CSC NAIA Academic All-American honors, was a NAIA Academic All-District 3 First Team selection, and named a KCAC Scholar Athlete.

Garcia graduated with his degree in exercise science from Ottawa University. He earned his masters in elementary education from OU.
