Coach Heck is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the OU football program.
Before coming to Ottawa University, he was an offensive coaching assistant with the University of Kansas football program. Heck worked alongside quarterbacks, assisted with film breakdown, drills, putting together opponent scouting reports, and served as the offense's play signaler.
Prior to his time at KU, Heck was the assistant offensive coordinator at North Chicago Community High School in North Chicago, Ill. At the time, he was the youngest varsity coach in the state of Illinois, was part of the highest scoring offense in the North Suburban Conference, and was the leader of the student athlete academic guidance program.
Heck was also a camp coordinator at the Athletico Center in Northbrook, Ill. Working alongside former Chicago Bears, as supervisors for the All-Pro Training Football camp.
Heck graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor of sport management with a minor in business administration in the fall of 2020.
He is working on his master's in education from Ottawa University
