Coach Pate is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach with the OU football program. He will coach the OU offensive line.

Pate comes to OU after spending one season at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Prior to that, he was a three-year starter on the football field at the University of Saint Mary. While at USM, Pate was named to the Dean’s List three times and earned the Folds of Honor Scholarship. 

Pate was a volunteer at the Bixby Youth Football Camps, helped at recruiting camps at the University of Saint Mary, volunteered with the Special Olympics, and did community outreach.

Pate graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in May of 2022 with a degree in sports management. He is working on his masters in elementary education from Ottawa University.
