2014-15: In his sophomore season, Hasty played in 28 games. He averaged one point and 1.6 rebounds per game. Hasty shot 23.3 percent from the floor and 46.2 percent from the free throw line. He scored a season high four points twice with the last being against Bethany College (1/28) and pulled down a season high seven rebounds against MidAmerica Nazarene University (11/4).
2013-14: Hasty played in 27 games, making eight starts as a freshman and was named to the All-KCAC Freshman Team. He averaged 2.7 points and three rebounds per game. Hasty shot 40 percent from the floor, 35 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 46.9 percent from the free throw line. He made his first career start against Tabor College (1/11) and scored his first career point and made his first collegiate appearance against Grace University (10/30). Hasty scored a career high 10 points twice with the last being against the University of Saint Mary (1/22), had a career high four made field goals versus Tabor College (1/11), had a career high 10 rebounds against McPherson College (1/16), tallied a career high four assists against Bethel College (2/6), had a career high two blocks versus Sterling College (1/9), and had a career high three steals against MidAmerica Nazarene University (11/5).
High School: Hasty was a three year letter winner on the basketball court for Ottawa High School. As a senior, he helped lead OHS to a 2012-13 Kansas 4A State Basketball Championship with an undefeated season. Hasty earned all-conference and all-district honors as a senior. He averaged nine points and seven rebounds per game and was selected to the KBCA All-Star Game. Hasty finished his career second all-time in the Cyclone record book in career blocks.
Personal: Son of Steven Hasty and Anne Hasty … born October 14, 1994 … business administration major. His brothers Austin and Adam were both part of the OU men’s basketball program. Adam was a four year letterman OU men’s basketball team, earning Second Team All-KCAC honors in 2014-15. Austin was a manager for the men’s team for two seasons.
