Kopatich was selected to the 2013 Top KCAC Men’s Golf Returners List.

2012: In his first collegiate season, Kopatich played 17 rounds of golf. He tallied 1,350 strokes, shot a round low of 71 and averaged 79.41 per round. In his first collegiate golf tournament, the Ottawa Fall Invitational, Kopatich finished tied for 34th with a two day total of 168. At the South Central Kansas Fall Invitational, he shot a two day total of 156 to tie for 12th. Kopatich finished tied for 21st at the Swede Fall Invitational with a 77 on day one and a 78 on day two (155). In the first tournament of the spring season, the OU Spring Invitational, he shot a 164 to tie for 30th. Kopatich tied for 85th with a two day total of 170 at the Bethel Spring Invitational. He finished third at the Sterling Invitational by shooting an 81 on day one and a 77 (148) on day two. Kopatich shot an 82 and an 81 for a total of 163 at the Central Methodist Invitational. At the KCAC Championships, he finished second with a three day total of 223. Kopatich shot a 72 in both round one and round two. He finished his final round with a 79. Kopatich finished 11th overall in the KCAC standings, one spot out of All-KCAC recognition.

High School: Kopatich was a two year letter winner at Olathe South High School. He excelled in the classroom and was named to the honor roll.

Personal: Son of Joe and Lisa Kopatich ... born February 10, 1992 ... business administration major.  He is a student assistant for the OU women’s basketball team.
