High School: Birzer earned letters in football, wrestling, golf, track and tennis at Hoisington High School. He helped the Cardinals to a 2024 and 2020 state football runner-up. Birzer was the 2024 Kansas 2A State Powerlifting Champion in the 242 pound weight class. He holds the Kansas 2A powerlifting record for the 242 pound weight class for squat, clean, and total weight.

Personal: Son of Karah and Cole Birzer … accounting major. Birzer never competed in a powerlifting meet until he received his scholarship to attend Ottawa University.
