2021-22: Reffner, competing at the USA Powerlifting Missouri State Championship and Open, qualified for nationals and finished third in the 120 KG Raw Junior Division. He had a PR in squat (250 KG) and bench (142.5 KG). At the USA Powerlifting National Collegiate, he earned All-American honors with his third place finish in the 140KG Equipped Division. Reffner finished the meet with a squat of 295KG, a bench of 157.5KG, and a deadlift of 267.5KG for a total of 720KG.
2020-21: Competing at the Ottawa Challenge, Reffner earned a finish of first in the 120kg weight class, qualifying for nationals. He had a total of 622.5kg. Reffner hit 247.5kg on squat, 127.5kg on bench, and 247.5kg on deadlift. He set four PRs at the USA Powerlifting Collegiate Nationals. Reffner squatted 247.5 kg to tie his PR, bench pressed 132.5kg to tie his PR, and deadlifted 252.5kg for a 5kg PR. That was a 10kg PR on his total of 632.5kg.
2019-20: Reffner finished second in his first collegiate meet in the 120 kilo teen division. He had a total of 597.5 kilos. Reffner qualified for the USAPL Collegiate Nationals.
High School: Reffner lettered in football and powerlifting at Topeka High School. He finished fourth overall in the heavy weight division at the Basehor-Linwood Powerlifting Meet. Reffner helped the Trojan football team to three Kansas State Tournament playoff games, three Centennial League championships, a sectional runner up finish, and a regional championship. Reffner was awarded the team's Most Improved Lineman Award.
