Biography

As a senior, Martinsen has made her mark in the OU career record book. She is ranked seventh in slugging percentage (.463), 10th in batting average (.336), tied for sixth in sacrifice hits (5), and is tied for fifth in doubles (23).
 
2012: Martinsen appeared in 49 games, making 48 starts on her way to earning Second Team All-KCAC honors at shortstop. She also excelled in the classroom, being named a Daktronic and NFCA Scholar Athlete. Martinsen went 41-for-118 at the plate for a .347 batting average. She scored 21 runs, drove in 33, had 13 doubles, and one homerun. She had a .427 on base percentage, a .427 slugging percentage, and a .950 fielding percentage. Martinsen had 74 putouts and 99 assists. She tied her career high in hits with three against MidAmerica Nazarene University (3/6), had a season high four RBI against Sterling College (4/7), and tied her career high in doubles with two against Sterling College (4/7). She finished the season ranked 10th in the OU record book in single season RBI (33) and third in single season doubles (13).

2011: Martinsen appeared and started in 37 games for the Lady Braves on her way to earning First Team All-KCAC honors. She had 36 hits in 110 at bats for a .327 batting average. Martinsen scored 16 runs, had 10 doubles, one homerun, 15 RBI, a slugging percentage of .445, a .327 on base percentage, was 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts, and had two or more hits six times. She had a career high three hits, five RBI, and connected on her first collegiate homerun versus the University of Saint Mary (4/17). Martinsen also had a career high two doubles versus Friends University (5/4). Her 10 doubles ranks her tied for sixth in the OU record books in single season doubles.

2010: Martinsen played in three games in her freshman season for the Lady Braves. She earned her first collegiate walk versus Friends University (4/13) and had her first official at bat versus Point Loma Nazarene University (5/20). Martinsen earned her first career assist versus Haskell Indian Nations University (3/2).

High School: Martinsen earned four varsity letters in softball for Marion C. Early High School. She was named All-District four times, All-Conference and All-Region three times, All-State once and was named Second Team All-Ozarks once. Martinsen helped the Panthers to the state tournament three years in a row.
