Valenzuela is ranked fifth in the OU record book in career slugging percentage (.582) and eighth in career batting average (.373).
2014: Valenzuela finished her freshman season second on the team in batting average, hitting .373, on her way to earning Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors. She had 41 hits in 110 at bats. Valenzuela scored 16 runs, had eight doubles, five homeruns, drove in 25 runs, had a slugging percentage of .582, walked 11 times, was hit by a pitch once, and had an on base percentage of .434. She earned KCAC Player of the Week honors for her play in the field in week 10. Valenzuela earned her first collegiate hit against Oklahoma Wesleyan University (2/18), hit her first double versus Washburn University (2/26), and recorded her first homerun against Graceland University (3/7). She had a career high four hits (4-for-4) against Southwestern College (4/19) and drove in a career high four RBI against McPherson College (4/16).
High School: Valenzuela was a four year letter winner on the softball diamond for La Puente High School. As a senior she was her high school's team MVP, was the first non-pitcher in the league to win the League MVP award, earned First Team All-League honors, led the league in homeruns and was named team captain.
