Seward Community College: Speer earned two letters on the basketball court at Seward Community College. She played in 59 games for Seward over the past two seasons, helping the Saints to 55 wins. Speer scored 172 points and shot 46% from the field in the process.  Speer saw action in all 33 Lady Saint contests as a sophomore, scoring in double figures in three different Jayhawk Conference games including a career high 15 point effort against Neosho early in 2016 and back to back 13 and 12 point games against Colby and Pratt to close the regular season. She was named KJCCC All-Academic in 2015 and was twice named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. As a freshman, Speer played in 26 games and averaged 1.8 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. She helped the Lady Saints to a 2014-15 NAIA National Tournament appearance.

High School: At Dighton High School, Speer earned four letters in basketball and volleyball. She also earned three letters in track for the Hornets. As a senior on the basketball court, Speer averaged 11 points and seven rebounds per game game. She was named First Team All-State and earned First Team All-League honors. Speer helped the Hornets to a runner-up finish in the NW Kansas League and a third place finish at the Kansas State Basketball Tournament. She averaged more than 10 points per game in both her sophomore and junior seasons, picking up All-League honors. As a member of the Hornet volleyball team, Speer was named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2013 Kansas State Volleyball Tournament. On the track she was a state champion in the triple jump in 2013.

Personal: Speer is the daughter of Amy and Dean Speer and plans to major in elementary education. Her mother Amy played basketball at Barton Community College and Friends University. Her father Dean played football at McPherson College.
