OTTAWA, Kan. -- The No. 6 Ottawa University men's wrestling team blanked the (RV)Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles on Friday evening. The Braves scored in the bonus in every match against OKWU, moving to a 3-0 dual record so far this season.
OU started the dual with three major decisions.
Benjamin Pope took down Zeke Wheeler 19-8 at 125lbs, followed by a 18-6 major decision by
Diago Hernandez.
Braden Ledford had a 8-0 major decision over OKWU's Wade Landrum at 141lb, while
Brandon Kidd Jr. handled Eagles' Andrew Mahoney at 157lbs.
Hunter Wagner got things really going for OU at 149lbs, getting the first of four pins in the last five matches for the Braves.
Braden Anderson followed at 165lbs with the second fall of the evening, while
JD Perez pinned OKWU's Carter Manley at 184lb.

Rocco D'Ascoli entertained in the most exciting match of the evening, winning by fall against OKWU's nationally ranked Jaden Welden. D'Ascoli pulled away in points in the third period, but continued to push to get the pin with five seconds remaining in the match.

The OU men's wrestling team wraps up a three-match home stand on Thursday, hosting the Friends Falcons at Wilson Field House. The Braves then head to Avila for the Eagles Dual on Saturday, taking on (RV) Oklahoma City, (RV)Missouri Baptist, (RV)St. Thomas, and No. 10 Campbellsville.
