SB: #22 Braves Travel to Bethany on Monday

Ottawa is 22-9-1 overall and in second in the KCAC with a record of 12-2. The Braves won their 13th and 14th straight games against the University of Saint Mary last Saturday at the USM Softball Field in Leavenworth. In the win, Ottawa hit .259, scoring 10 runs, hitting two doubles, one triple, and three home runs. OU had a .438 slugging percentage, four walks, and a .317 on base percentage. The Brave pitching staff had a 1.00 ERA, striking out 10. USM had a .214 batting average against the Braves.

Through 32 games, Ottawa has scored 192 runs and hit 28 home runs. OU has a .298 batting average, a .377 on base percentage, and a.473 slugging percentage.

OU is ranked 30th in the NAIA in triples (11), 12th in home runs (28), 47th in walks (90), 37th in sacrifice flies (10), 50th in sacrifice hits (24), 42nd in slugging percentage (.473), 21st in ERA (2.14), eighth in shutouts (12), and 17th in opponent batting average (.214).

Ottawa's 28 home runs is third all-time in the OU record book, surpassing last season's total of 26. The school record is 39 home runs which was hit in 2014.

Justyse Rodriguez leads Ottawa in batting average (.429), Madison Bunfill is the team's leader in RBI (27), Amber Flummerfelt is OU's leader in ERA (1.89), and Casson Rasmussen leads the Braves in strike outs (89).

The Braves have a record of 34-34 against Bethany College. OU has won five straight games against the Swedes and won both games of the double header lead season, taking game one in five innings 8-0 and game two, 6-4 on March 24 at Alumni Park. The last time the two teams met in Lindsborg was on April 13, 2018. Ottawa won game one, 11-8 but fell in game two, 8-7. The first meeting took place on April 13, 1996 at the KCAC Round Robin Tournament. Bethany won the game, 15-5.

Bethany College is 12-19 overall and is 10th in the KCAC with a record of 5-7. The Swedes are on a two game losing streak after being swept by McPherson College last Saturday at home. McPherson took game one, 15-7, and game two, 7-5. BC is 11-7 at home this season.

Through 31 games, Bethany has scored 148 runs and hit 15 home runs. The Swedes have a .247 batting average, a .378 on base percentage, and a .356 slugging percentage.

BC is ranked eighth in the NAIA in walks (128), 10th in hit by pitch (31), and 55th in caught stealing (9).

Sasha Martello leads Bethany in batting average (.353), Lilliana Martinez is BC's leader in RBI (22), Martello leads the team in ERA (4.00), and Ravin Moore is the team's leader in strike outs (52).
