OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's tennis team continued with its winning ways, defeating Friends University 5-2 on Saturday morning at the campus courts. Ottawa took the doubles point 2-1 and finished with a record of 4-2 in singles.
Priyanshi Sharma and
Yana Goranova won their no. 1 doubles match 7-5. Julia Wiense and Isidora Hrnjka took a 7-5 victory in no. 2 doubles.
Goranova won her no. 1 singles match 6-2, 6-3. Hrnjak took a 6-0, 6-3 victory in no. 2 singles. Wienese won her no. 3 singles match 6-3, 6-3. Sharma earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory in no. 4 singles.
Lily Keimig fell 6-2, 6-3 in no. 5 singles.
Ottawa (7-7, 6-2) returns to action on Saturday, April 23 against Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kan. The match is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.
