OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa women's tennis team dropped their first conference match of the season as they were defeated by Saint Mary, 5-2 on Thursday morning in Ottawa.
Paula Persson won the no. 1 singles match 6-3, 6-3 over Mia Rojas, and
Alejandra Parra won the no. 4 singles match 6-4, 6-2 over Rowen Wiemers.
In doubles,
Te'a Newcomb and
Paula Persson won the no. 2 doubles match 7-6 over Monserrat Guerrero and Rowen Wiemers.
Ottawa (1-4, 1-1 KCAC) returns to the court on March 14 as they travel to Salina, Kansas for a match at Kansas Wesleyan University.
