HILLSBORO, Kan. - The Ottawa women's tennis team won their first match of the season as they defeated Tabor, 4-3 on Monday afternoon in Hillsboro.
Paula Persson won the no. 1 singles match 6-4, 6-3 over Amy Holloway, while
Mariam Alli-Balogun won the no. 2 singles match 6-0, 6-0 over Jacilyn Seachris.
Alejandra Parra won the no. 4 singles match 6-0, 6-0 over Selyn Duke
In doubles,
Mariam Alli-Balogun and
Alejandra Parra won the no. 1 match 6-2 over Joao Sa and Adah Branam and Amy Holloway, and
Te'a Newcomb and
Paula Persson won the no. 2 doubles match 6-2 over Ashley Jimenez and Jacilyn Seachris.
Ottawa (1-3, 1-0 KCAC) returns to the court on March 12 as they host the University of Saint Mary in their home opener at 11:00 AM.
