Softball Adds Tessa Johnston to its 2024 Recruiting Class

OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University softball program is pleased to announce the signing of Tessa Johnston for the 2023-24 school year. She is from Andover, Kan. and attends Andover Central High School.

Johnston earned three letters in softball at Andover Central High School.

"We are excited that Tessa has committed to our softball program and family," said OU head softball coach Jay Kahnt. "She is versatile and can play both infield and outfield.  Tessa has good range on the field with a good arm.  At the plate, she brings a lefty dimension.  I can't wait for Tessa to be on campus this fall and start watching her grow on and off the field."

Johnston is the daughter of Susan Voth and plans to major in elementary education. She played travel ball for the Kansas Blue Sox under coach Jami Minick.
