Ottawa took two from Missouri Valley College last weekend at Alumni Park. The Braves won game one 3-0 and took game two, 10-2 in five innings.

In those two games, Ottawa hit .380, scored 13 runs, hit four doubles, drove in 10 runs, had a .460 slugging percentage, walked four times, and had a .426 on base percentage. Hannah Copeland hit .667 and had a .833 slugging percentage in the double header against Missouri Valley. OU's pitching staff had a 1.17 ERA, striking out seven in 12 innings.

Hannah Copeland leads OU in batting average (.667) and Copeland and Emma Melvin lead the Braves in RBI (3). Ashlynn Mercer leads OU in ERA (0.00) and strike outs (11).

In four games this season, Ottawa has scored 25 runs. The Braves have a .333 batting average, a .396 on base percentage, and a .465 slugging percentage, OU has hit one home run.

Ottawa leads the series with Texas Wesleyan University, 6-4. The Rams have won three straight games against the Braves, winning all three meeting last season against OU. TWU defeated OU 3-2 in nine innings in game one and 4-2 in game two on Feb. 18, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas. The Rams then defeated the Braves 6-2 at the Hose Bell Red Dirt Classic on March 3, 2022. The Braves last win over Texas Wesleyan was on Feb. 21, 2020. OU won game one, 6-4 and took game two, 6-3.

The Braves lead the series against the University of Texas - Dallas, 1-0. The last time the two teams met was on March 21, 2009 in Irving, Texas. OU won the game 4-3.

Texas Wesleyan University is 1-4 to open the 2023 season. Friday will be the Rams first home game of the season. This season, TWU has scored 10 runs, has a .180 batting average, a .255 on base percentage, and a .230 slugging percentage. The Rams have hit one home run.

EB Zimmerman leads the Rams in batting average (.273), Kylie Summers is the team's leader in RBI (3), Taylor Tubbs leads TWU in ERA (1.62), and Brynna Foster leads the team in strike outs (14).

University of Texas - Dallas has opened the 2023 season with a record of 4-0. The Comets enter Saturday's game coming off a 12-3 victory in five innings against Webster University on Feb. 11.

Addison Caddell leads the team in batting average (.600), Megan Todd is the team's leader in RBI (10), Emilie Hoelscher is the Comets' leader in ERA (0.58) and strike outs (16).
