LINCOLN, Neb. – The Ottawa University women's beach volleyball team opened the season with a 5-0 loss to Oklahoma Wesleyan University at the Hawks Championship Center on the campus of the University of Nebraska on Wednesday afternoon.
Ottawa had three pairs go three sets against the Eagles. OU's no. 2 pair of
Elli Rogers and
Mia Burge fell 22-20, 11-21, 15-8.
Joranis Rivera and
Raven Corlee, playing no. 3, were defeated 20-22, 21-11, 15-9. In no. 5 pairs,
Alexa Boyle and
Brittan Lee lost 8-21, 21-16, 15-8.
In an exhibition match, Kenned Krokroskia and
Estela Ladron De Cegama took a 21-2, 21-12 victory over Angelina Arvizu and Elizabeth Hope.
