The Braves split it double header with Evangel University last Monday evening in Springfield. Evangel won game one, 5-3, but OU rallied to take game two, 12-10.

Katie Enneking leads the Braves in batting average (.403), Madison Bunfill is OU's leader in RBI (17), and Ashlynn Mercer is the team's leader in ERA (3.21) and strike outs (37).

The Braves are 7-1 at Alumni Park this season. OU is hitting .332, has scored 50 runs, has hit 17 doubles, one triple, four home runs, has walked 24 times, has a .406 on base percentage, and a .487 slugging percentage.

Through 18 games, the Braves are hitting .310 batting average, have a .389 on base percentage, and a .449 slugging percentage. OU has hit 11 home runs and scored 105 runs.

This is the first meeting between Ottawa University and University of Health Science & Pharmacy. Ottawa University leads the series against Tabor College 51-15. Ottawa is on a six game winning streak against the Bluejays. OU has won two straight on the road in Hillsboro against the Bluejays. Ottawa took the double header on April 21, 2021 in Hillsboro, 3-0 and 5-0. The Braves won the last meeting between the two teams. Ottawa and Tabor last met on May 7, 2022 in Great Bend at the KCAC Tournament. OU won the game, 4-3.

Ottawa has won its KCAC opener four straight years, sweeping the double header against Sterling College in all four of those years. This will be the first time since the 2017 season that OU has opened KCAC play against someone other than Sterling. In 2017 the Braves played Tabor College to open KCAC play on March 22 in Hillsboro. University of Health Science & Pharmacy is 0-2 to start the 2023 season. The Eutectics last played on Feb 24 in Circleville, Ohio against Ohio Christian University. OCU won game one 17-1 in five innings and took game two, 8-0 in six innings.

What is a Eutectic? According to eutecticsports.com website: "Eutectic" describes the scientific process of two solids being combined to form a liquid. A common term in pharmacy, it is the perfect metaphor for UHSP's intercollegiate athletic program – combining athletics and a demanding academic program. UHSP's mascot is Mortarmer McPestle ("Morty" for short) the Eutectic.

UHSP has a .122 batting average, a .163 on base percentage, and a.122 slugging percentage. The Eutectic have scored one run. Alexis Knoll leads the team in batting average (.500), Reece Hampton is the team's leader in RBI (1), and Emma Henley leads UHSP in ERA (9.88) and strike outs (4).

Tabor College is 7-11 overall and have lost seven straight. The Bluejays last win was on Feb. 25 in Hillsboro against Oklahoma Panhandle State University. TC won the game 8-4. Through 18 games, the Bluejays are hitting .346, have a .418 on base percentage, and a .506 slugging percentage. Tabor has hit 14 home runs and scored 135 runs.

Mary Yandell leads Tabor in batting average (.396) and RBI (23). Brianna Alligood is the Bluejays' leader in ERA (2.70) and Taylor Sheppard is TC's leader in strike outs (11).
