(RV) MLAX Falls at No. 6 Siena Heights

ADRIAN, Mich. - The (RV)Ottawa Lacrosse team suffered a tough loss on Wednesday night, falling 19-8 to No. 6 Siena Heights in a non-conference game at O'Laughlin Stadium.

Siena Heights took an early lead in the game, scoring three quick goals in the first quarter. Ottawa responded with two goals, one on a man-up situation from Reid McDowell and another from Robert Roseberry to cut SHU's lead to 3-2. Siena Heights responded with an 11-2 run to close out the first half and take a 12-4 lead into the break. 

The Braves came out of halftime firing, scoring three straight goals to start the second half and cut their deficit to 12-7. Although the Braves outscored the Saints 3-1 in the third period, the No. 6 team in the country reestablished control in the fourth quarter.by going on a six goal run and downing OU 19-8 by the end of regulation.

Reid McDowell paced the Braves with four goals, followed by Robert Roseberry with two goals. Vincent DeMarco and Jake Noernberg also contributed one goal each. On the other side, Eric Csizmadia led the way for Siena Heights with five goals, followed by Jake Gallaher with four goals and Devin Plemmons and Logan Hudnut each with three goals.

Ottawa has a quick turn around, traveling to another top-10 opponent in Indiana Tech, tommorow at 3:30 pm. The game was moved up a day from Saturday due to weather concerns.
