ARLINGTON, Texas – The Ottawa University men's and women's powerlifting teams competed at the USA Powerlifting National Collegiate this past weekend. The OU men's team brouth home two All-Americans and the women's team had two place in the top 50 in the country in their divisions.
John Wyatt and
Baxter Self placed second in their divisions, earning USA Powerlifting All-American honors. Wyatt, a freshman from Fort Worth, Texas, competed in his first national championship. Self, a graduate student from Gardner, Kan., competed in his fourth national championship.
Koby Money finished 15
th, Haileigh Macron placed 44
th,
Tillman Hartner earned a finish of eighth,
Destiny Chadwick finished eighth,
Michael Reffner placed fifth, and
Kael Venerable finished sixth.
