(RV)Braves Snap Four-Game Losing Streak to (RV)Benedictine

OTTAWA, Kan. - The (RV)Ottawa Braves men's lacrosse emerged victorious at home over Benedictine with a final score of 17-11 on Tuesday evening. The Braves' win snapped a four-game losing streak to the Ravens.

The game got off to a fast start, with Ottawa taking an early lead with goals from Vincent DeMarco and Jake Noernberg. Benedictine responded with goals from James Carson and Mac Postel Jr., but Robert Roseberry put the Braves back on top with a goal at the 3:26 mark. The Ravens closed out the first period with two more goals, taking a 4-3 into the second.

The second quarter saw both teams trading goals back and forth, with Benedictine getting two from Jordan Rodriguez and one each from Michael Hogan, Paul Gordon, and James Carson. Ottawa responded with goals from Dakota Lepker, Luke Spells, Mason Boedeker, and Reid McDowell, and the teams went into halftime with the score tied at 8-8.

Ottawa took control in the second half, with DeMarco and Roseberry leading the way with two goals each. Benedictine struggled to keep pace, with their only goal coming from Hogan in the third quarter. Ottawa's strong defensive play stymied the Ravens while keeping up pressure on the offensive end, eventually pulling away in the fourth quarter for the 17-11 win.

DeMarco led all scorers with five goals for Ottawa, while Roseberry added four. McDowell and Lepker each contributed three goals for the Braves. Carson led the way for Benedictine with three goals, while Rodriguez and Hogan each added two.

With this win, Ottawa improves to 6-3 on the season, while Benedictine drops to 6-4. The Braves will look to build on this win as they take on the Webber International on Saturday at home.
