WICHITA, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's tennis team earned its second straight victory with a 7-0 win over Friends University on Thursday afternoon at the Riverside Tennis Center. Both teams only had five people, so each match was worth one point.
Mariam Alli-Bologun and
Priyanshi Sharma won their no. 1 doubles match, 6-2, over Hanna Wood and Jazzmyn Williams. In no. 2 doubles,
Alejandra Parra and
Isidora Hrnjak took a 6-0 win over Jaidyn Schultz and Victoria Oshakuade.
Hrnjak won her no. 1 singles match 6-3, 6-0 over Wood. Sharam defeated Williams 6-0, 6-0 in no. 2 singles. Alli-Bologun took a 6-1, 6-0 victory in no. 3 singles over Schultz. Parra, in no. 4 singles, took a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Cha'lyse Andrews.
Lily Keimig defeated Oshakuade 6-2, 6-0 in no. 5 singles.
Ottawa (8-3, 4-1) returns to action on Saturday, April 8 in Forest Park against Bethany College. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
