Ottawa split with nationally ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Park. OU defeated OKWU in game one, 8-4, but fell 3-2 in game two.

The Braves are 12-3 on  the road this season and have won seven straight road games. OU's last loss on the road came on March 6 in Springfield, Mo. against Evangel University. Ottawa fell in game one of the double header, 5-3, to the Valor. In the 15 road games, Ottawa is hitting .289 and is averaging 6.2 runs per game. The Braves have a .438 slugging percentage, and a .374 on base percentage. The OU pitching staff has a 4.17 ERA, striking out 46 in 99 innings.

Through 33 games the Braves have a .306 batting average, a .395 on base percentage, and a .467 slugging percentage. Ottawa has hit 24 home runs and has scored 212 runs (6.4 run per game avg.)

Madison Bunfill leads Ottawa in batting average (.423) and RBI (40). Ashlynn Mercer is OU's leader in ERA (3.16) and strike outs (61).

Ottawa has a record of 31-11 against Southwestern College and is on a five game winning streak against the Moundbuilders. OU has won three straight games in Winfield against Southwestern. The Braves' last loss to Southwestern in Winfield was on April 3, 2019. Southwestern won the game 15-7 in six innings. The first meeting between the two teams happened on April 17, 2004 in Ottawa. The Moundbuilders won the game 3-1.

Madison Bunfill was named KCAC Player of the Week for the second time this season for her efforts in OU's games against Park University and the University of Saint Mary. She hit .500 (5-for-10), hit two doubles and two home runs, drove in seven runs, had a 1.300 slugging percentage, walked once, was hit by a pitch three times, and had a .643 on base percentage.

Ottawa is ranked 19th in the NAIA in runs (212), 19th in doubles (58), 13th in home runs (24), 24th in RBI (180), 18th in extra base hits (87), 28th in total bases (405), 15th in walks (105), 14th in hit by pitch (28), 42nd in stolen bases (61), 43rd in on base percentage (.395), 32nd in slugging percentage (.467), and 21st in shut outs (8).

Southwestern College is 2-25 overall, 0-10 in the KCAC, and is 2-12 at home this season. The Moundbuilders snapped their 15 game losing streak on Wednesday with a 21-7 victory over Ecclesia College in five innings.

The Moundbuilders have lost 17 straight KCAC games dating back to the 2022 season. Southwestern's last KCAC victory was on March 27, 2022 against Bethel College in Winfield. SWC won the game 5-4.

Through 27 games, SWC has a .264 batting average, a .336 on base percentage, and a .333 slugging percentage. The Moundbuilders have hit two home runs and have scored 103 runs.

Rayven Favors leads Southwestern in batting average (.400) and RBI (13). Alexus Johnson is the team's leader in ERA (7.80) and strike outs (29).
