OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's tennis team won its third straight match with a 5-2 victory over Bethany College on Saturday afternoon at Forest Park. Ottawa won the doubles point, 2-1, and had a record of 5-2 in singles.

Ottawa's no. 1 doubles team of Mariam Alli-Bologun and Priyanshi Sharma defeated Jahzuena Douglas and Piper Marquez 6-0. In no. 2 doubles, Alejandra Parra and Isidora Hrnjak took a 6-0 victory over Maria Mistereck and Tia Gregory.

With no one competing in no. 6 singles for the Braves, the Swedes tied the match 1-1. Ottawa retook the lead with Hrnjak's 6-0, 6-1 victory in no. 1 singles over Douglas, 2-1. Alli-Bologun won her no. 2 singles match 7-6 (2), 6-1 to give the Braves a 3-1 lead. Ottawa clinched the match with Sharam's 6-0, 6-0 victory in no. 3 singles over Mistereck, 4-1. Parra won her no. 4 singles match 6-1, 6-0 over Marquez. Lily Keimig fell in a three set contest 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 to Tia Gregory.

Ottawa (9-3, 5-1) returns to action on Saturday, April 15 against Bethel College in North Newton, Kan. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
