Ottawa is 52-38 all-time at the KCAC Tournament, winning the 2021 and the 2010 Championships. OU had a record of 3-2 in the KCAC Tournament last season. Wednesday's game will be the first time that the Braves and Panthers have played in the KCAC Tournament but not the first time that the two teams have met in the post season. The two teams played against each other, twice, in the Region IV Tournament at Bellevue, Neb. on May 10, 2007. Ottawa won the first game, 4-2, but York took the 5-2 victory in game two. That was also the first time that York and Ottawa had played each other.

The Braves have a record of 12-3 against York University. Ottawa is on a six game winning streak against the Panthers. OU swept the double header this season, taking game one 7-2 and game two, 13-7, on April 22 in York. The last time OU fell to York was on April 19, 2019 in York. The Panthers won the game, 3-2.

Through 47 games, Ottawa is hitting .293, has a .383 on base percentage, and a .440 slugging percentage. OU has hit 30 home runs and scored 306 runs. The Braves 306 runs are the most OU has scored since scoring 303 run in 2018. The most are 364 runs set by OU in 2008.

York University is 21-20 overall and finished eighth in the KCAC with a record of 11-13. Since the Braves played the Panthers on April 22 in York, YU has a record of 4-2 with double header sweeps of Southwestern College and Tabor College. The Panthers are 10-7 at neutral sites this season.

Through 41 games, York has a .301 batting average, a .383 on base percentage, and a .423 slugging percentage. The Panthers have hit 15 home runs and scored 225 runs.
