Braves Picked to Win KCAC for Eighth Straight Year by KCAC Coaches

OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's volleyball team has been selected to finish first in the KCAC by the conference coaches it was announced on Thursday evening by the conference office. It is the eighth straight season that OU has been selected to win the KCAC Championship.

The Braves received 164 points and nine first place votes. Oklahoma Wesleyan University was selected to finish second by the conference coaches. The Eagles received 159 points and four first place votes. Rounding out the top three is Kansas Wesleyan University. The Coyotes earned one first place vote and 132 points.  

In fourth was McPherson College (126), fifth the University of Saint Mary (116), sixth Bethel College (109), seventh Evangel University (103), eighth Friends University (80), ninth Southwestern College (70), 10th Avila University (58), 11th Bethany College (56), 12th Sterling College (46), 13th Tabor College (41), and 14th York University (14).

Ottawa opens the 2022 season on Tuesday, August 22 on the road in Olathe, Kan. against MidAmerica Nazarene University. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
