LINDSBORG, Kan. – The Ottawa University football team fell 13-0 to Bethany College at Dr. Ted Kessinger Family Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Bethany scored the game's only offensive touchdown with 9:19 to go in the first quarter. Zamarion Spencer crossed the goal line on an 11-yard touchdown run. The extra point was no good and the Swedes led 6-0.
The Swedes' special teams increased the Bethany lead at the 10:08 mark in the second quarter. Malaki Daniels returned a punt 36 yards for the touchdown. The extra point kick by Max Goldstein was good and Bethany had a 13-0 lead.
In the second half, both teams struggled to move the ball against the opposing defense. Neither team was able to score and Bethany took the 13-0 victory.4
