Men's Volleyball Downs Central Christian, 3-0

OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's volleyball team won its second straight match, defeating Central Christian College 3-0; 25-5, 25-13, 25-11; on Friday night in Wilson Field House. Max Baumann set a school record for single match service aces with seven and OU's 14 service aces are the third most in program history.

How it Happened
  • The Braves were dominate in set one, hitting .520 against the Tigers. Ottawa raced out to an 18-3 lead over Central Christian and never looked back, taking the 25-5 victory.
  • Ottawa jumped out to an 11-2 lead in set two over CCC. A service ace by Andrew Salinas and a kill by Isaac Rollenhagen gave the Braves s 16-4 lead. The Tigers never threatened OU's lead and the Braves took the win, 25-13.
  • Just like the first two sets, Ottawa took the early lead in set three. Grant Younie's kill gave the Braves a 10-2 lead. A service ace by Nazmi Bayoglu increased the Brave lead to 18-6. Ottawa held Central Christian in check for the remainder of the set, taking the 25-11 victory.
