OTTAWA, Kan. – The (17) Ottawa University softball team swept Haskell Indian Nations University on Tuesday afternoon at Alumni Park. Ottawa took game one, 12-0, and won game two, 22-4. Both games finished in five innings. OU's 22 runs in game two are the most scored by the Braves since OU pushed 21 runs across home plate on March 21, 2021 in a 21-7 win over York University.
Game One
The Braves scored nine runs in the bottom of the first inning on six hits and one error. That is where the score stayed until the bottom of the fourth.
With two outs
Cierra Faubion singled to center.
Megan Kennedy hit an inside the park home run to right and the Braves had an 11-0 lead.
Macey Morris hit an infield single to the HINU shortstop and then advanced to second on a wild pitch.
Macy Roever tripled to center, scoring Morris, and OU took a 12-0 lead.
It was three up and three down for the Braves in the top of the fifth and OU took the 12-0 victory.

Game Two
Ottawa continued with the offensive explosion in game two. OU scored four runs in the bottom of the first, 10 in the bottom of the second, and eight in the bottom of the third to take a 22-0 lead over HINU.
Haskell scored four runs in the top of the fifth. OU pitcher
Julia Waltman was able to get the line out for the final out of the game and OU took the 22-4 victory.
