OTTAWA, Kan. - The #8 Ottawa men's wrestling team will host senior night on Thursday in Wilson Field House as they host the University of Saint Mary Spires. The Braves will honor six seniors before the match, Tucker Tomlinson, Brandon Kidd Jr., Kevon Freeman, Brock Chapman, Dylan Smith and Cordell Hunt.
 
Ottawa had a few compete at the Missouri Valley Open on Saturday, February 3rd. Asher Larson won one match in the 133lb weight division on a technical fall. Loyd Epperson defeated one opponent on a technical fall in the 149lb weight class. Joaquin Tanabe picked up victory by fall in the 149lb weight division. In the 174lb weight division, Bridger Bennion won one match on a fall over a wrestler from Grand View. Jackson Geslin took down his opponent on an 18-7 major decision in the 197lb weight class.
 
Ottawa remained at #8 in the latest NAIA Top 20 Poll. Irish Furthmyre is #19 and Brandon Bollinger is #25 in the 149lb weight division. Francis Morrissey is #10 in 157lb and Ben Mitchell is #16 in 157lb. Kevon Freeman is #10 and Dayton Hill is #14 in the 165lb weight division. Braden Anderson is up to #5 in the 174lb weight class. JD Perez stays at third in the 184lb weight division and Jordan Lomeli is 19th in the 184lb as well. Tucker Tomlinson is 10th in the 197lb.
