Women's Lacrosse on the Road at Culver-Stockton

Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa women's lacrosse team looks to create a winning streak as they travel to Canton for a road game against Culver-Stockton.
  • Ottawa is coming off their first win of the season, an 26-9 road win at William Penn. The Braves had control over the entire game, outscoring the Statesmen in every period. Mackenzie Simmons scored 11 goals, while Curstin Brown and Ashley Santillan score five and four, respectively. Simmons and Santillan had 2 assists each. 
  • Mackenzie Simmons is the leading goalscorer with 33 goals. Ashley Santillan has 12 goals. Santillan and Faith Ruoff are the joint-assists leader wth three each. Shelby Bearden is the groundballs leaders with 13.
  • Culver-Stockton is 2-1 with a loss to Webber International. and wins against Saint Mary and UHSP, the latter two being upcoming conference opponents for Ottawa.
  • Kaelin Quarles is the goals leader for the Wildcats with 15. Quarles also leads in assists with five.
  • Ottawa and Culver-Stockton have played three times, with all three contests going to the Braves. The last meeting came in 2023, a 14-7 win for Ottawa.
