OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's volleyball team fell 3-0; 25-16, 25-21, 25-15; to no. 9 University of Jamestown on Saturday morning in Wilson Field House.
How it Happened
- Ottawa led 7-4 to open set one over Jamestown. The Jimmies scored the next seven points, taking an 11-7 lead over the Braves. Jamestown increased its lead to 17-9 over the Braves. Ottawa was not able to rally and Jamestown took the 25-16 victory.
- A kill and a service ace by Akeil Williams gave the Braves 3-2 lead over the Jimmies in set two. A kill by Williams and a block by Williams and Kadeem Morris gave the Braves a 12-10 lead. Ottawa increased its lead to 19-16 after a Jamestown attacking error. The Jimmies answered with six straight points, taking a 22-19 lead. The Braves were not able to answer and Jamestown took the 25-21 victory.
- The Jimmies jumped out to an 11-4 lead over the Braves in set three. Ottawa was not able to rebound from its slow start and Jamestown took the 25-15 victory.
