Women's Lacrosse at (RV) Georgetown

Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa women's lacrosse team looks to get back in the win column as they travel to (RV) Georgetown for a non-conference matchup.
  • Ottawa is coming off an 8-15 road loss to (6) Missouri Baptist in their KCAC opener. Mackenzie Simmons scored four goals, Ashley Santillan scored two. KaiAnna Senne and Curstin Brown scored one each. Brown and Felecia Dixon made one assist each. Shelby Bearden made 21 saves.
  • Mackenzie Simmons is the leading goalscorer with 55 goals. Ashley Santillan has 20 goals. Santillan is the assists leader with 11. Curstin Brown is the groundballs leader with 24.
  • (RV) Georgetown is 4-8 overall and 2-1 in conference play. The Tigers are on a four game losing streak, three of which came at the hands of ranked teams, and the fourth being against a team receiving votes.
  • Katerina Gilbert is the goals leader for Benedictine with 30. Madison Catoggio is the assists leader with 19.
  • Ottawa and Georgetown have played once before, in Ottawa in 2019. That game saw Georgetown victorious by a score of 16-3.
  • This is the first of a two-game Kentucky road trip for Ottawa. The Braves will play against (1) Cumberlands (KY) on Monday, April 1.
