CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – The (RV) Ottawa University beach volleyball team split its final two matches at the St. Louis Invite on Saturday morning. The Braves fell to no. 4 Park, 4-1, but rebounded to take a 5-0 victory over Bryant & Stratton College.

Asia Cole and Samantha Stahl, playing no. 5 pairs, defeated Debora Bernardi and Irene Verdino in three sets, 14-21, 21-17, 15-11. Blythe Manson and Carson Schuman lost 21-11, 21-8 in no. 1 pairs to Julia Alvarez and Szonja Stollar. Brenna Diller and Madison Brauner fell 21-8, 21-10 to Izabella Ceratti and Carola Pons Sales in no. 3 pairs. Brittan Lee and Bailee Nickel were defeated in their no. 4 pairs match 21-14, 21-12 by Mafalda Bras and Luna Martins. Emily Park and Paige Phillips won their exhibition match over Carrio and Serena Arruda 15-21, 21-19, 15-7.

In no. 4 pairs, Diller and Bruaner won 21-11, 21-3. Stahl and Cole took a 21-8, 21-3 win in no. 5 pairs. Phillips and Park won their exhibition match.
