Women's Lacrosse Travels to (1) Cumberlands (Ky.)

Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa women's lacrosse team looks to add another win as they travel to (1) Cumberlands (Ky.) for their final non-conference game of the season.

Ottawa is coming off an 18-17 road win over (RV) Georgetown last Saturday. Mackenzie Simmons scored 11 goals, Paulina Pompa and Felecia dixon scored two goals each. KaiAnna Senne, Curstin Brown, and Ashley Santillan scored one goal each. Paulina Pompa made three assists, Santillan made two. Simmons, Senne, and Isabella Pagliei made one assist each. Shelby Bearden made 13 saves.
Mackenzie Simmons is the leading goalscorer with 66 goals. Ashley Santillan has 21 goals. Santillan is the assists leader with 13. Curstin Brown is the groundballs leader with 28.
(1) Cumberlands (Ky.) is 13-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play. The Patriots have eight wins over ranked or receiving votes opponents, an their lone loss came at the hands of (2) Reinhardt. The Patriots are on a three game winning streak, most recently a 23-1 win over St. Andrews on Saturday.
Aleyah Belton is the goals leader for Cumberlands with 43. Emma Rittman is the assists leader with 21.
Ottawa and Cumberlands have played once before, in Ottawa in 2019. That game saw Cumberlands victorious by a score of 26-3.
