LINDSBORG, Kan. – The (RV) Ottawa University women's tennis team moved to 7-0 in the KCAC with a 7-0 victory over Bethany College at the Dr. Emory Lindquist Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Ottawa took a 1-0 lead in the doubles point with Paula Persson and Alejandra Parra's 6-1 win in no. 1 doubles. Valeria Rodriguez and Priyanshi Sharma won their no. 2 doubles match 6-2 over Piper Marquez and Tia Gregory, clinching the doubles point for the Braves, 2-0. Isidora Hrnjak and Lily Keimig fell 6-4 in no. 3 doubles to Kyla Metro and Karee Adam.

Sharma won her no. 1 singles match 6-1, 6-3 over Ana Castillo Paz to give the Braves a 2-0 lead. Hrnjak's 6-2, 6-4 victory in no. 2 singles pushed the Brave lead to 3-0. Ottawa wrapped up the match with a Persson 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) win in no. 3 singles, 4-0. Parra won her no. 4 singles match 6-3, 6-2 over Marquez. In no. 5 singles, Rodriguez defeated Russom 6-3, 6-2. Keimig won her no. 6 singles match 6-2, 6-3 over Gregory.

Ottawa (11-4, 7-0) returns to the court on Thursday, April 11 in Leavenworth, Kan. against the University of Saint Mary. The match is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
