OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University baseball team fell 11-1 to York University in eight innings on Friday afternoon at Alumni Park. The Braves left 13 on base.
York took the 1-0 lead over the Braves in the top of the first inning. The Panthers scored four runs in the top of the fourth, increasing their lead to 5-0.
The Braves cut into the York lead in the bottom of the fourth. 
Dylan Garcia doubled to left and then moved to third on a ground out by 
Branden Franz. 
Pedro Astacio singled up the middle, scoring Garcia and OU was down 5-1.
York responded by scoring three runs in the top of the sixth, one in the seventh, and two in the eighth to take an 11-1 lead. The Braves were not able to extend the game in the bottom of the eighth and York took the 11-1 victory.
