Men's Lacrosse at Home Against (RV) St. Ambrose to Close Out Regular Season

Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa men's lacrosse team finishes out their regular season as they host St. Ambrose for a non-conference matchup.

Ottawa clinched a share of the regular season title with their win on Wednesday, finishing 3-1 in conference play. They share the title with Missouri Baptist and Columbia, who also finished 3-1.
The Braves are coming off a 30-4 home win over Saint Mary on April 10. Vicent DeMarco and Reid McDowell scored eight goals each. David Wiley scored six, Ethan NewMyer scored five, Jack Brackin scored two, and Jacob Vincentini scored one. DeMarco made ten assists, Brackin made two. McDowell, Gavin Nelson, and Braydon Francis made one each. Jake Christopherson made five saves.
Vincent DeMarco is the goals leader for Ottawa with 40 goals. DeMarco is also the assists leader with 29. Jacob Vincentini is the groundballs and faceoff percentage leader, with 120 and .660 (169-256), respectively.
(RV) St. Ambrose is 7-5 on the season and 2-2 in conference play. The Bees are coming off a 7-19 road loss to (RV) Benedictine on Friday.
Zach Priami and Makaile Shaddix are the joint-goals leaders for St. Ambrose with 28 goals each. Matt Cortopassi is the assists leader with 25. Joe Campbell is the groundballs leader with 54.
This is the seventh meeting between Ottawa and Saint Ambrose, with the series currently tied 3-3. St. Ambrose has won the last two games, with the last one being a 17-7 Bees win in 2022.
