The Braves captured their fourth straight KCAC Championship with a 35-14 victory over Kansas Wesleyan University at AdventHealth Field last Saturday afternoon. Ottawa finished the game with 317 yards of offense, 274 yards passing and 43 yards rushing. Kansas Wesleyan had 299 yards of offense, 270 yards passing and 29 yards rushing. Madysen Carrera led OU in rushing with 37 yards. She also had one rushing touchdown. Carrera was 32-for-38 through the air for 274 yards and four touchdowns. Alyssa Linkous led OU with 13 receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown. Mandolyn Scalisi had five receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown. Hailee McKay and Jukanie Washington had four flag pulls apiece. Washington had two pass break ups.

This season Ottawa is averaging 310 yards of offense per game, 29.4 yards rushing and 280.7 yards passing per game. The Braves are scoring 37.6 points per game. Opponents are averaging 183.4 yards of offense per game, eight yards rushing and 175.4 passing yards per game and 9.1 points per game.

OU is led in rushing by Madysen Carrera with 284 yards. She is averaging 20.3 rushing yards per game and has scored four rushing touchdowns. Carrera also leads the team in passing. She is 313-411 through the air for 3,277 yards and 57 touchdowns. Carrera is averaging 234.1 passing yards per game and has completed 76 percent of her passes.

Alyssa Linkous is OU's leader in receptions with 57. She has 604 receiving yards, an average of 54.9 yards per game, and 10 touchdowns. Cynthia Homs leads the team in receiving yards with 649 receiving yards. She has 48 receptions and 11 receiving touchdowns. Jazlyn Camacho is second on the team in receptions with 56. She has 613 receiving yards and 11 receiving touchdowns.

Abby Brown leads OU in flag pulls with 66. She has six interceptions and six pass break ups. Jukanie Washington has 49 flag pulls, one flag pull for loss, one sack, three interceptions, and five pass break ups. Susann Kaufmann has 40 flag pulls, nine flag pulls for loss, six sacks, and six pass break ups.

Madysen Carrera was named KCAC Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season for her efforts in OU's win over Kansas Wesleyan University last Satuday. Carrera rushed for a touchdown, went 32-for-38 (.842) through the air for 274 yards and four touchdowns. Her effort helped OU secure its fourth straight KCAC Championship with a 35-14 win over the Coyotes.

Ottawa has a record of 1-0 against Southwestern College. The first meeting between the two teams happened on March 13, 2024 at AdventHealth Field. Ottawa won the game 47-0.

The Braves have a record 11-0 against Midland University. Ottawa won both games this season, defeating the Warriors 45-12 at AdventHealth Field on Feb. 24 and 21-7 on March 30 in Fremont, Neb. The first meeting between teams happened on March 26, 2021 in Ottawa. OU won the game 39-0.

Southwestern College has an overall record of 6-7 and a KCAC mark of 5-7. The Moundbuilders are averaging 151.8 yards of offense per game, 45 yards on the ground and 106.8 yards passing. Southwestern is scoring 14.1 points per game. Opponents are averaging 228.8 yards of offense per game, 30.3 yards rushing and 198.5 yards passing. They are scoring 17.6 points per game.

Sammie Lonosco leads the team in flag pulls with 41. She has 4.6 flag pulls for loss and one interception. Vivianna Solis has 40 flag pulls, four flag pulls for loss, four interceptions and three pass break ups. Aaliah Hanson has 38 flag pulls, 3.8 flag pulls for loss, and two pass break ups.

Midland University has an overall and KCAC record of 9-5. The Warriors are averaging 212.1 yards of offense per game, 12 yard rushing and 200.1 yards passing. Opponents are averaging 222.8 yards of offense per game, 38.6 yards rushing and 184.2 yards passing. The Warriors are scoring 20.4 points per game and allowing 14.3 points per game.

Angel Ioane Kaio is MU's leader in passing yards with 1,772. She is 171-293 through the air and has 26 touchdowns. Ioane Kaio is completing 58.4 percent of her passes. She leads the team in rushing with 43 yards.
